British Heart Foundation has huge number of charities shops that sells donated items online or in store to help fund heart and circulatory research in the UK. The organisation intends for a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases, funding around £100 million research projects every year, as well as heart transplants, pacemakers, portable defibrillators, 3D printed hearts and valve replacements.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

In this role, you will help your local British Heart Foundation to sell a range of donated items on eBay by researching to find the fair value for the sale of each item, taking photographs, and packaging them to be sent out to the buyers. As an eBay Volunteer, you will learn many valuable skills such as entrepreneurship, market research, and product knowledge skills.

Typical duties include:

  • Researching donated items, to gather as much information on unusual items before listing them
  • Photographing items and creating informative and detailed descriptions and listings 
  • Packing and posting items to be sent to our online sales HQ or delivered to customers
  • Helping the Manager to handle online queries from customers

Please note, the Brunel Volunteers team would like you to commit to a minimum of 2-3 months.
