Afghanistan and Central Asian Association is an organisation that supports London's refugee community and the Afghan diaspora in the United Kingdom, providing a wide range of social, cultural, and educational services in order to break down language and cultural barriers. The organisation has a long-standing integration agenda, with campaigns for human rights and democracy.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and implementing social media strategies and campaigns for the organisation ensuring consistency in messaging and branding. As a Social Media Coordinator, you will develop collaboration and project management skills, learning how to optimise advertisements, target specific audiences, set budgets, and monitor campaign performance.

Typical duties include:

  • Producing content for ACAA's social media accounts, primarily Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook
  • Monitoring similar charities, organisations, and advocacy movements' social media presence
  • Disseminating ACAA-related informative and educational information
  • Designing new methods to increase interaction between ACAA and the local and advocate community through social media

Please note, the Brunel Volunteers team would like you to commit to a minimum of 2-3 months.
