Details of the Charity:

The Terrence Higgins Trust is a charity supporting and advocating for people affected by HIV or AIDS as well as helping people using the services to achieve good sexual health. The organisation campaigns on issues from relationships to sex education in schools and runs work and skills programmes for people living with HIV and community projects supporting them to tell their own stories.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

In this role, you will support Terrence Higgins's work by fundraising up to £500 with your friends, community, family, and colleagues. As a Volunteer Fundraising Ambassador, you will enhance your communication and leadership skills, and gain experience in planning, executing, and refining your strategic thinking abilities.

Typical duties include:

  • Inspiring friends, colleagues, and family to join your fundraising efforts and engage in activities 
  • Identifying potential fundraising and charity partnership opportunities
  • Representing Terrence Higgins Trust as an ambassador
  • Organising and managing events such as quiz nights, club nights, a fundraising walk, and so on

Please note, the Brunel Volunteers team would like you to commit to a minimum of 2-3 months.
