Summary
Adriana Mallary holds a MSc in Computing and IT from the University of St Andrews and a BA in Games Design from Brunel University London. Her MSc dissertation was a collaborative effort with Lindores Abbey to create a digital reconstruction of the original abbey for VR using Unreal Engine.
Her current research is focused on Virtual Reality with a mix of pyschology, attempting to understand how we can design mechanics in VR video games that elicit specific emotions from the players. Areas of research include engagement and mechanics in VR, video games, game design, embodiment in games, embodied cognition, natural interaction, interaction design, and emotional design.
