Summary

Athanasios graduated from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2015. From October 2012 to September 2015 he was a member of two student groups that participated in the Formula Student competition. During his internship, he gained more experience in the automotive and composite materials industries as he worked for three months in Stuttgart. In 2016 he started his PhD, which was funded by TWI Ltd. and Loughborough University as part of the EPSRC-CDT in the field of embedded intelligence. His research focuses on the development of sensors and systems for the manufacturing and modeling of composite materials.
