Corrado Macchiarelli is currently tenured at the level of Senior Lecturer (October 2019) of Economics and Finance. He is also Visiting Fellow at the London School of Economics and a University Lecturer at New York University Stern School of Business for the degree of "International Political Economy and Global Business" in London. During Spring/Summer 2019 he was a Visiting Scholar in Economics at Harvard University's Centre for European Studies. Corrado received his PhD in Economics from Collegio Carlo Alberto (University of Turin) in 2011. He was then on a Postdoctoral Fellowship in European Political Economy from the London School of Economics, where he also taught at the Executive Master level.
Corrado has published multiple articles on the topics of business cycles, macroeconomics, financial economics and European political economy. He has also authored a number of in-depth analyses, notably on the euro area monetary policy and European economic governance, at the request of the European Parliament. In particular, Corrado is currently part of a pool of experts to advise the latter in occasion of the Monetary Policy Dialogue between the Parliament and the European Central Bank.
Corrado has previously worked for the European Central Bank (Economist-level) and the International Monetary Fund (PhD-Economist/Intern), and consulted for the European Central Bank, the Swedish Central Bank, as well as participated in several projects sponsored by the European Commission and the European Parliament.
At Brunel University London, he lectures on Advanced Economic Theory (Level 3) and Housing Finance (Level 2). He taught Money and Banking (level 2) over the period 2016-18.
