Summary

Corrado Macchiarelli is currently on sabbatical leave at Harvard University, from Brunel University London, where he is otherwise tenured at the level of Assistant Professor (Lecturer) of Economics and Finance. He is also Visiting Senior Fellow at the London School of Economics and a University Lecturer at New York University’s Stern School of Business in London. Corrado is a Fellow for the Rimini Centre for Economic Analysis and a honorary Fellow with expertise in Economics and Econometrics for the University of Milan-Bicocca. 

Corrado has published multiple articles on the topics of business cycles, macroeconomics, financial economics and European economic governance. He has also authored a number of in-depth analyses at the request of the European Parliament notably on the euro area monetary policy, and the interactions between European economic governance and cohesion policy.

Corrado has previously worked and consulted for the European Central Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the Swedish Central Bank, the European Commission and the European Parliament. For the latter, Corrado is currently part of a pool of monetary policy experts to advise the Parliament on monetary policy issues, in occasion of the hearing of the ECB’s President.

Corrado received his PhD in Economics (1st) from Collegio Carlo Alberto in 2011. After then, he has obtained a Postdoctoral Fellowship in European Political Economy from the London School of Economics, where he also taught at the Executive Master level.
