David is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FEAH)

David is module lead for the follow:

  • SP1700/SP1601 The fundamentals of Sport and Exercise Psychology
  • SP1705 Synoptic Assessment
  • SP5522 Research and Application in the Psychology of Sports Performance

David contributes to the follow modules:

  • SP2705/SP2602 Theory and Application in Sport and Exercise Psychology
  • SP3706 Applied Sport and Exercise Psychology 
  • SP3700 Major Project
  • SP5500 MSc Dissertation
  • SP2713 Work-Based Learning

David also takes a lead role coordinating tutoring@brunel for the level 1 students which is embedded within SP1701

Teaching Grants/Awards:

David was part of a project looking at providing a social belonging intervention with students, specifically from widening participation backgrounds, to facilitate students transition into University and throughout their time studying at Brunel. The project was internally funded following a successful 'Access and Participation Funding Bid' in 2018/19. 

David was a part of team which piloted the use of a software called WiseFlow for online exams. The modules which David led were one of the first fully digital onsite exam in the UK using bring your own device (BYOD) methods (http://uniwise.dk/case/brunel-university-london-is-gradually-implementing-wiseflow/). At the Teach Brunel Awards 2017, this was work was recognised as David and the rest of the team were awarded the 'Best Team Effort' award.

David recieved the Award of Honorarium from the Academic Awards Panel Iin 2016/17 for recognition of an outstanding year's performance, over and above his normal duties.

David has also been nominated for 'Lecturer of the Year' at the Student Led Teaching Awards in 2015/16 and in 2016/17 and 'Supervisor of the Year' in 2017/18.
