Miss Despoina Farmaki
Despoina is a Doctoral Researcher in Law at Brunel University London. Despoina’s main research areas include copyright enforcement and infringement in the video game industry, intermediary service providers’ liability and artificial intelligence. Her thesis is supervised by Dr Faye Wang. Despoina holds an LLM on International Commercial Law from Brunel University London and an LLB from Democritus University of Thrace (Greece).
Despoina is a Lecturer in Law at London Brunel International College. During 2020-2021, Despoina was a Visiting Lecturer at Greenwich University, Research Assistant at Brunel University London and member of the Centre for Artificial Intelligence at Brunel. Despoina has been teaching core modules to foundation and first year law students at London Brunel International College and IT law to third year student at Greenwich.
Despoina presented her research at the Law PhD Conference in October 2020, for which she was awarded with the first prize in Private Law, and at the Poster Conference 2021.
