Mr James Farmer
PhD Student

Summary

I have always had a keen interest in history since an early age.  Growing up near to Windsor and other historic locations has meant my knowledge and love for history has flourished.  I left school in 2002 and decided to enter the world of work, firstly for an insurance company and then for a telecommunications company.  In 2013 I took the decision to pursue a degree and applied to the Open University to begin a History degree part-time.  In 2017 I decided to swtich to full time and applied to Brunel University and was accepted.  I graduated in 2019 with a BA (Hons) in History.  In 2019 I commenced a MA in Military History at Brunel University and graduated in 2020.

In October 2020 I decided to remain in academia and commenced a PhD at Brunel University in the Politics and History Department.
