Research Interests

Jamie’s main research interests are safeguarding and child protection in sport. More specific areas of his research interests are detailed below:

  • Safety culture in sport
  • Evidencing the impact of safeguarding
  • Managing safeguarding cases
  • The participation of children who have additional vulnerabilities/disabilities in sport
  • Maltreatment of athletes – welfare/wellbeing
