I have been studying for my practice-based PhD in Creative Writing since October 2015 at Brunel University London under the supervision of Professor Bernardine Evaristo and Dr Claire Lynch. The focus of my research is female friendship, female-centric and extra-maternal care in fiction with emphasis on interdisciplinary approaches to the care experience among women in literature.
My PhD thesis comprises of a work of creative fiction (a novel) and a critical thesis which both examines the research areas and gives commentary on my own work.
I also work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant on the Creative Writing undergraduate course at Brunel University London, and have previously assisted on the EN3028 and EN2016 modules. I received my BA and MA (both in Creative Writing) from Brunel University London in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
