Summary

I am an EdD student in the College of Business and Social Sciences commencing in January 2021.

I hold qualifications as a Social Worker, Team Manager, Therapeutic Counsellor, Practice Educator/Assessor supporting social work students who work with children and families and adults.

I completed a Masters in Education and Training where I undertook a research study which explored the assessment process of those wishing to be approved as foster carers.

I am currently interested in researching ‘permanency around looked after children’ and how the ‘team around the child’ can achieve positive outcomes for looked after children. I hope to gain a deeper understanding of my practice setting and consider barriers, enablers and global issues that might impact on a child’s ability to thrive.

My principal supervisor is Dr. Paula Zwozdiak-Myers and Supervisor is Prof. Maria Tsouroufli.
