Summary

As Director of Employability in the Business School, Michelle is responsible for developing the School's Employability Strategy, coordinating employability initiatives across the School, and directing the undergraduate and post graduate modules which underpin the University's flagship placement programmes.

Michelle works with a range of employers from SMEs to MNCs to generate work opportunities for students and she is a member of the Institute of Student Employers network.  She is Director of Business Life, a unique digital skills portal specifically for the Business School, which promotes digital skills and courses to provide students with the extra-curricular skills that will facilitate graduate employment.  She chairs the School's Employability Committee which is responsible for overseeing the Employability Strategy's implementation.  She iis also a member of the Department Management Board.

Michelle holds a Master's degree in Marketing from the Univeersity of Manchester and a CIPD Level 5 Diploma.  Prior to joining the Business School, she managed the centralised Placement Team at Brunel University which, under her leadership won the national award for being the best careers and placement service in the country three times.  She was also Chair of the national Work Based Learning Task Group of the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS) for eight years.
