Dr Nazli Ozkan
I am a research fellow at Brunel University London. I work on the PISCES project (WP6) that focuses on mitigating plastic waste in Indonesia. I am currently researching reusable, refillable, returnable packaging systems as a solution to the plastic packaging waste problem.
I am specialised in design for the circular economy, consumer perspectives, product longevity, and product repair. Previously, I was a post-doc researcher at Linköping University in Sweden for three years. I completed my practice-based PhD at Royal College of Art in 2017, funded by the Ministry of Economy of Turkey. I have been involved in several international and national research projects, funded by Erasmus+, Vinnova, and UKRI. I hold an MSc and BID in Industrial Design and a BA in Sociology from Middle East Technical University.
