A dynamic figure. Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills. Diverse expertise in advanced materials for structural application, solidification research and modern materials technology. As an industrial research fellow Dr. Nilam Barekar's role is to carry out R & D activities spanning from designing and developing new processes, optimizing performance levels of materials, understanding the structure-property relation through characterisation to identifying weaknesses.

Doctor of Philosophy in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering

Responsibility

Dr. Barekar is currently working on EPSRC funded LiME Hub project. He is directly liaising with industry and leading in managing the R & D project activities and delivering the results which can have significant business impact.
