One of the ‘Bannerman Babes’ Paul began his long association with Brunel in 1980 in the School of Biological Sciences as a trainee lab technician. Promotion to Chief Technician was soon followed by that of Departmental Superintendent in 1993. Professional recognition came in 2001 with the appointment as Academic Resource Manager in the School of Social Sciences & Law before further promotion to College Services Manager (College of Business, Arts & Social Sciences) in 2014

Reporting to the Director Of Operations responsibilities range from College establishment, strategic planning, finance and college resource administration through estate management, space allocation, utilisation and timetabling, to business continuity, provision and management of technical, IT and specialist support services delivered across a multi-site, multi-disciplinary academic community.

Outside Brunel

Paul’s community spirit has seen him hold various roles in local junior and (not so local) youth and adult football: including manager, coach, scout, child protection officer, vice-chairman, trustee and life-vice president, FA referee. The great outdoors feature heavily for all the family, especially hill and moor walking, nature conservation and preservation, bird-watching, photography, camping and motor-homing.
