Director of Strategic Engagement

Summary

I am currently Director of Strategic Engagement and Chair in Business Systems, former Director of Postgraduate Research and Head of the Information Systems Evaluation research group within the Business School I have contributed extensively to research in the field of information systems and management with publications in numerous national and international conferences and journals. In addition, I have taught and examined on a number of Doctoral and MBA programmes including Manchester Business School and the Open University. I also led the organising committee for the annual BIT and BITWorld Conference series and a member of the Strategic Management Society and Association of Information Systems. In recent years, I have served on the Board of the UK Academy for Information Systems since 1997 and was also the Vice President Research for IRMA (USA). I am currently Associate Editor of the JGIM, JEUC, JLIM, ACITM, EJIS and case editor for IJIM.

My research interests are the strategic management of information systems within a variety of organisational context, with an increasing speciality in government sectors and I have contributed to a number of EPSRC and European funded research projects. I am a former President of the Information Resource Management Association (IRMA-USA) and now an Executive Member of the Information Institute www.information-institute.org. I also recently served on the European Doctoral Association for Management & Business Administration (EDAMBA) Executive Committee.

Responsibility

As Director of Strategic Engagement my responsibilities are varied and focused essentially to manage the process of achieving 'triple-crown' accreditation for the Business School
