Rebecca is a full-time doctoral researcher under the supervision of Dr Gerard Conway and Dr Serena Natile, and her research is concerned with a socio-legal analysis of assisted dying. Her PhD thesis, provisionally titled “A Socio-Legal analysis of assisted dying in Oregon and the Netherlands: developing a hybrid legal model for the UK” undertakes an empirical and comparative investigation of the views of the healthcare professionals instrumental to the application of the law, and the impact and sustainability of a hybrid model on the English healthcare system respectively.

Rebecca holds a first class honours award for BSc (Hons) Podiatric Medicine (2012), a distinction award for MSc Diabetes (2015), and a commendation for the Graduate Diploma in Law (2017). Professionally, Rebecca has practised as a Podiatrist in both the National Health Service and the private sector, and is looking to advance her career in the field of socio-legal research.
