I am a registered Adult Nurse and Lecturer in Nursing. I have a passion for teaching and learning with more than seven years teaching experience in nursing and healthcare. My interests include work-based routes into nursing and championing the widening participation agenda.
Prior to becoming a Lecturer in Nursing I worked predominantly within the NHS for more than thirty years extensively in senior management and clinical leadership positions within the speciality of Diabetes and Endocrinology in a wide variety of healthcare settings. As a Diabetes Nurse Consultant my areas of expertise include the management of diabetes complications, insulin pump therapy, patient education and behaviour change management.
