Summary

Dr. Voula Gkatzidou is a Research Fellow in Human Centred Design, specialising in the links between design and extracting and understanding users’ needs with a particular focus in the design of new media and technology and the theories and methods to support human centred design.

Voula has a PhD in the field of Computer Science, with a particular focus in inclusive e-learning to support people whose needs maybe a result of physical sensory or learning difficulties. Over the years she has participated in numerous research projects in the field of accessibility and e-learning. Voula’s work has focused on in-context research with people, including the use of products, services and built environments, with a focus on practical prototyping and co-creation, integrating insights from multiple disciplines.

Voula has experience in teaching and practicing many aspects of User Experience, building a diverse skill-set of UX research, design, and leadership.
