Summary
Dr. Xiangzhen Zhu graduated with a PhD degree in Key Laboratory for Liquid-Solid Structural Evolution & Processing of Materials (Ministry of Education), Shandong University, China. Then he moved to Brunel University London as a Research Fellow at Brunel Centre for Advanced Solidification Technology(BCAST) in 2016. His research interests include the liquid metal structure, nucleation, solidification, melt treatment, crystal growth and novel high-performance alloy development. He has been involved in a number of projects supported by UKRI, EPSRC, Innovate UK as well as industry (JLR, Gestamp, ATI and Sarginsons), to develop the next-generation high-performance alloys and castings.
