Studying on a Brunel Physician Associate degree helps you to be part of an exciting, important and emerging group of clinical professionals who support doctors and medical teams within the NHS.

You’ll be able to join a growing number of multi-skilled medical professionals who are improving patients’ lives and who are vital to the future of healthcare in the UK.

Physician Associates are able to move easily between different areas of patient care, ranging from general practice, cardiology, neurosurgery, paediatrics or other specialties in an ever-demanding and fast-changing NHS.

You’ll be able to develop your knowledge and communication skills by safely practising your learned skills in a wide variety of real clinical environments. Your physician associate degree includes over 1,800 hours of professional practice which will fully prepare you to practise in a wide variety of specialties and clinical settings. In the first year of your Physician Associate MSc, you’ll work one day a week and in your second year, four and a half days per week.

On successful completion of your Physician Associate course, you’ll be eligible to sit for the Physician Associate National Examination and join the Managed Voluntary Register – the mark of a fully qualified and approved physician associate.
