Cluster Leader: Professor Ashley Braganza
Big Data and AI provide entrepreneurs and incumbents in existing industries and sectors to innovate with new products and services. More importantly, these technologies will produce new industries, sectors, organisation and jobs that don’t exist currently. This may well require the ways in which academics and practitioners think about innovation to change. New theoretical frames of innovation may be needed to explain and predict emergent markets, products and consumers. The research priorities are to:
- Understand the impact of AI and BD on innovation theory and practice
- Understand the impact of big data and AI at three – Macro, Meso and Micro – levels
- Map the research terrain of the field of big data and AI
