UK Solidification Workshop Success
Following on from the success of the UK Light Metals Technology Workshop hosted by the EPSRC Centre – LiME in 2013, this second academia-industry workshop was attended by 86 delegates over two days in April 2014. The UK Solidification Workshop 2014 addressed the gap in knowledge transfer often felt by both parties and allowed those in attendance to look into ways of bridging this gap, as well as further strengthening the UK solidification community as a whole. LiME encouraged research students in the field to attend the workshop to support their understanding of the wider context of their research, and sponsored prizes for poster presentations.
