Consumer over-indebtedness


Project description

Federico Ferretti, a Senior Law Lecturer at Brunel University London, was given €226,779.27 for a study on ‘Consumer over-indebtedness, responsible lending, and the insolvency of natural persons: the need for a comprehensive reform to protect consumers in financial difficulty’.

Ferretti was the principal investigator for the study, and led a consortium of universities around the world, including Brunel University London, University of Trento, Osnabruck University, and Consumers Association EKPIZO. The study was done under the Civil Justice Programme of the European Commission from September 2014 to 2016.
