What do you currently do?

I currently work as an Assistant Vice President in the Digital Product Development and Innovation (DPDI) team for State Street based in London. Prior to this current role, I was a Senior Business Analyst in SSGA’s MiFID II Project Management Office team. I have held a number of positions at major financial institutions including Goldman Sachs, London Stock Exchange Group and Credit Suisse covering a wide spectrum of regulatory projects.

Each day at State Street is different, some days I could be in client meetings all day and other days I could be working with internal stakeholders on various projects.

What is the highlight of your career so far?

The highlight of my career so far is that I have been able to work at some of the prestigious financial institutions firms globally including Goldman Sachs, London Stock Exchange, Citi, Credit Suisse, UBS and now State Street.

What was the key reason you decided to study at Brunel?

Having the option to complete a sandwich degree was the key reason why I selected to study at Brunel. This gave me a head start when I graduated as I gained a year’s experience in the financial services industry.

What were the highlights of studying at Brunel?

I would say my final year which was my 4th year, as I came back to Brunel with a group of students who were driven to make sure they achieved the highest grade possible. The fact that I had a job offer after I graduated made me work even harder to perform my best.

I would recommend taking the 4-year sandwich course option as this is the best decision you can make in your life choices.
