Year 2 and 3: Level 5 and 6
Lectures: The majority of lectures will be delivered synchronously online. In other words, these lectures will be online live stream. However, a few modules will provide asynchronous online lectures. In other words, these lectures will be pre-recorded.
Seminars/tutorial/practical: COVID-related constraints permitting, as a broad guidance the School aims to deliver approximately 50% of practical sessions (e.g. workshops, labs, seminars, tutorials) in-person across the programmes. We may seek to offer more than 50% of sessions in-person where restrictions allow. It is expected that students will attend these sessions. For students who cannot attend, online tutorials and some home-based lab materials might be provided so that they can complete technical tasks at home, alternatively digital assessments will be provided. On average, students of Brunel Design School will have at least 100 hours of in-person on campus lectures/seminars/tutorials spread across Terms 1 and 2 (access to campus permitting and in accordance with the up-to-date social distancing requirements).
Support/resources: Materials (e.g. recorded lectures) will be provided on the university’s virtual learning environment.
Assessments: Coursework will be mainly digital via WISEFlow. However, subject to availability/accessibility of workshops and labs, some modules (e.g. DM2305, DM3330 and DM3802/3803/3804) are assessed via physical submissions (artefacts). A few modules have exams which may be either remote or in-person on campus.
