Survey of attitudes to health and quality of life

The aim of this survey is to get a better understanding of the relative importance people place on different aspects of health. It is part of a wider project being conducted as a collaboration between Brunel University and the University of Sheffield. The project is funded by the Medical Research Council (MRC) methodology panel.

The survey consists of a total of 600 interviews which are being conducted by researchers at Sheffield Hallam University. Participants have been randomly selected from addresses in the South Yorkshire region. The interviews are being conducted in two groups. The first set of 300 interviews will be conducted between April and June 2011, and the second set of 300 interviews will be conducted in late Summer/early Autumn 2011.

If you have received a letter about the study and have a query about the interview please contact Mrs Rachel Ibbotson (r.ibbotson@shu.ac.uk). If you have any queries about the scientific aspects of the research please contact Dr Yaling Yang (yaling.yang@brunel.ac.uk ) or Dr Louise Longworth (louise.longworth@brunel.ac.uk ).

We will update this page with results from the study when available. This is anticipated to be in early 2012.

We would like to thank those participants who have agreed to take part in the survey.
