Orientation and Airport Welcome Service
Make sure not to miss one of the most important weeks of the year here at Brunel University London: our three-day Orientation programme (Thursday 14 - Saturday 16 September 2017) for all International, EU and Exchange students.
The programme, which is free for all non-UK students, takes place prior to the start of the academic year and is a great opportunity to meet lots of people and enrol onto your course before all other students arrive.
Come along and take part in a range of social events throughout the course of the programme, including a day trip (capacity limited) and walking tours of the campus and Uxbridge, which will give you a chance to familiarise yourself with the University and the local area before starting your course.
You will be able to attend information sessions on banking and travelling around the UK, find out about the various free services offered on campus and hear from the Union of Brunel Students about how they can help you.
Breakfast and one evening meal on Thursday 14 September are included.
96% of past students rated the orientation as “Excellent” or “Very good". Here are some comments from last year's participants:
"The International Student Orientation is an excellent programme where you can learn about your new university and make friends immediately. It’s a good way to start your UK journey"

Free for International, EU and Exchange Students. All you need to pay for are the extra nights in accommodation and your lunches.
If you have been allocated a room on campus please let our accommodation team know you will be arriving early. There will be an extra charge for your additional nights’ stay.
We will be running a free Airport Welcome Service on Tuesday 12 September and Wednesday 13 September and Sunday 17 September at Heathrow for new International students. The deadline to book this service is Friday 1st September 2017, 12noon GMT.
The Airport Welcome Service will consist of our friendly Student Helpers meeting you at Arrivals and accompanying you to a pre-booked taxi between 7am and 7pm (if you arrive outside of these hours, you can still book a free taxi through the above form but you will need to locate the taxi pickup point yourself). Just look out for the people in blue Brunel University London T-Shirts! If a number of students are arriving in quick succession, we might wait a little while so that you can all go together. The taxi ride itself will be short and there is no cost to you as long as you have signed up for the Healthrow Airport Weclome Service above.
Note to current pre-sessional students: If you are currently studying on a pre-sessional course at Brunel University London, unfortunately you are not eligible to register for our International Student Orientation Programme. But don’t worry – it’s almost the same as the orientation you had when you first arrived (campus and Uxbridge tours, registration, etc.).
Foundation and Pre-Master’s students
Note to Foundation and Pre-Master’s students: if you are arriving in September to study a Foundation or Pre-Master’s course, the London Brunel International College (LBIC) will be running a separate orientation. Click here for more information.
