Tell us about your educational and/or career journey since you graduated from Brunel?
I returned to Malaysia , having spent more then ten years in the UK. It required plenty of adjustment. Getting to met the key people in Malaysia in the Engineering line was very good. It was a gradual process of adaption.
What does a typical day at work involve for you?
The concern of having being the delay on projects and holding back the client is always there. Looking ahead and trying to put things right before is the main task.
What’s been the highlight of your career journey so far?
The meeting of key highly professional engineers in the country , and working with them on institution projects was very good.
How would you say your Brunel experience has helped you to get where you are today?
The requirement of doing a new subject of study and achieving succusses made me more capable.
Why did you choose to study at Brunel and why would you recommend Brunel to others?
I choose Brunel as I wanted to study in the London area. it was near to place that I like. I would recommend it to others for it connected environment. It was a memorable graduation where there were many people from over the world.
What is your best memory of studying here?
Playing sport and doing my experimental research . Using the Library, I very reading in the library especially in the winter months.
If you could give one piece of advice to current Brunel students, what would that be?
The interaction with the international environment is excellent. Learn to sit and work with people of various backgrounds.
What would be your top tip or key advice for new graduates as they begin their career journey after leaving Brunel?
Be open learning more and putting yourself to the task. Make a mistake but learn and move on.
