From Portugal

Which country are you from?

Portugal and Austria

Which country do you currently live in?

Tell us about your educational and/or career journey since you graduated from Brunel?

I joined Suspicious Antwerp as a Junior Creative roughly one month after graduation. Since then I have been responsible for designing and executing multiple campaigns and working with big names such as Kylie Jenner, Tom Holland and Playboy. I'm currently working as a Copywriter with Luxottica and my main brands from their portfolio are Oakley, Arnette and Costa Del Mar.

What does a typical day at work involve for you?

Mornings consist mainly of meetings internally, and afternoons we’re focused on developing creative concepts for the different upcoming releases.

What’s been the highlight of your career journey so far?

Shooting on the Amalfi Coast with Playboy.

Has your Brunel experience helped you to get where you are today?

Absolutely. The connections I made and skills I learned have been invaluable in the working world.

Why did you choose to study at Brunel and why would you recommend Brunel to others?

I had a few friends studying there who were all having a great time, plus the social aspect of a campus university was enticing to me.

What is your best memory of studying here?

The weight off my shoulders when finally submitting my dissertation!

If you could give one piece of advice to current Brunel students, what would that be?

Use the resources available to you, not only academically but also socially.

What would be your top tip or key advice for new graduates as they begin their career journey after leaving Brunel?

Don't stress too much about not being sure what you want to do or how to do it. Just go out and try different things - the worst that can happen is that you learn what you dislike.
