Tell us about your educational and/or career journey since you graduated from Brunel.

After graduating from Brunel, I delved into Pakistan's legal landscape. There, I represented clients in the High Courts, navigating its intricate judiciary. This wasn't just textbook law; shadowing senior lawyers offered a real-world masterclass, showcasing the nuances and artistry of seasoned courtroom tacticians. Regular court appearances sharpened my skills and deepened my understanding of the country's legal system. This journey, filled with mentorship and hands-on experiences, enriched my passion for law and shaped my professional trajectory in ways I had never imagined.

What does a typical day at work involve for you?

Every day is a fervent pursuit of justice. I rise early, having prepped cases deep into the night. My team and I meticulously strategize, ensuring our clients receive unparalleled representation. Heading to the Court, I revel in the journey, eager to competently advocate for those I serve. The Bar room buzzes with discussions of legal principles and the intricacies of Bar politics. Every moment at work, from the court's hustle to the camaraderie with colleagues, underscores my passion for law and the fulfilment of delivering justice. In this bustling legal world, every second counts, and I make it matter.

What’s been the highlight of your career journey so far?

The pinnacle of my career journey was being Called to the Bar by the esteemed Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, London, in October 2021. Earning the prestigious title of "Barrister" was not just a personal achievement; it was publicly recognised. My name graced the pages of THE TIMES - an iconic British newspaper with a history dating back to 1785. This newspaper heralded all the new Barristers, including myself, from Lincoln’s Inn and Inner Temple. This acknowledgement, steeped in tradition and honour, serves as a testament to my dedication and the illustrious path I tread in the legal realm.

How would you say your Brunel experience has helped you to get where you are today?

Brunel University was instrumental in shaping my career. It wasn't just about academia; it was about holistic growth. Passionate about advocacy and mooting, Brunel recognised my fervour, awarding me roles as student and department representative. These positions, borne from my engagement in student activities, were transformative. They not only honed my leadership skills but bolstered my confidence, directly translating to my prowess in the courtroom. In essence, Brunel didn't just teach me law; it sculpted me into the assertive, courtroom-ready professional I am today.

Why did you choose to study at Brunel and why would you recommend Brunel to others?

I chose Brunel University London for both my undergraduate and postgraduate studies, captivated by its prime London location and outstanding academic resources. Beyond the classroom, the comprehensive student facilities significantly enhanced my university experience. The unparalleled blend of location, resources, and expertise makes it a top recommendation for family and friends worldwide. Brunel isn't just a university; it's an incubator for growth and discovery.

What is your best memory of studying here?

My fondest memory at Brunel revolves around its rich tapestry of student diversity. Walking through campus was like a voyage around the world. Each day, I interacted with peers from varied backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs. These interactions transformed mundane classroom discussions into global dialogues, where perspectives from continents converged. Lunch breaks turned into cultural exchanges, with stories and cuisines from distant corners. Brunel became more than just an educational institution; it was a microcosm of the world. This diverse environment not only broadened my horizons but instilled in me a deep appreciation for the beautiful mosaic that is humanity.
