BBS student bags top prize

Sarah Binsaied, a final-year PhD student at Brunel Business School, Brunel University London, together with her supervisors, Dr Wafi Al-Karaghouli and Dr Ana Canhoto has been selected as the recipients of the “Best Poster Award” at the BAM2019 Doctoral Symposium. The poster is addressing the individual intentions towards money donations to local charities in Saudi Arabia. The BAM2019 Doctoral Symposium was held at the Aston University on the 2nd of September.

The Doctoral Symposium is a flagship event launched by the British Academy of Management for doctoral students. It is, in fact, one of the most established, high-profile events in the doctoral community in the UK. This year BAM had a very large number of doctoral entrants and Sarah achieved this against some very stiff competition.

After receiving her award, Sarah said: “I am very honoured to receive the ‘Best Poster Award’ from BAM2019 Doctoral Symposium, as it considered one of the well-known symposiums in the field of business and management for doctoral students. I would like to take this opportunity to thank my principle supervisor, Dr. Wafi Al-Karaghouli. I have been extremely lucky to have a supervisor who knows how to bring out the best in his students. I would also like to thank my second supervisor Dr. Ana Canhoto for being always very kind and supportive. A big thank you to Brunel Business School and Brunel University for recognizing my efforts."
