Digital Design collaborative projects

The second year undergraduate Digital Media students from Brunel University London have been working alongside the business owners of small medium businesses to create a wide range of branding and marketing portfolios, including photography, app, website and packaging designs for the businesses, which also formed part of their assignments.

 The benefits for our students

The Co-Innovate collaborative projects have been an innovative way for the students to develop new ideas for their design portfolios in parallel to the day to day pressures of micro and small businesses. Thanks to Rakesh Mohun, Lecturer & Digital Studio Manager, together with the students' time working on the digital design projects, £30,000+ of State Aid support has been provided to seven businesses.

We have a wide pool of talent at Brunel and it's important we nurture that to its full potential. I thoroughly enjoyed teaching my module this year because of the inclusion of live briefs. By helping start-up and small businesses gave a sense of purpose and satisfaction to both my students and myself.
