This means you’ll have a strong foundation to succeed whether you’re set on getting into teaching or are considering fields like educational psychology, social work or counselling.

You’ll be supported and surrounded by academics who have a wealth of experience in teaching and education practitioning, across all age groups and abilities. Their first-hand experiences will help you develop a deeper understanding of the concepts you’ll tackle in the classroom and insight into careers and opportunities outside of it. Your learning experience will also benefit from the wide variety of different students who choose to come and study Education at Brunel. Whether you’ve recently finished formal education and would like to progress, looking to have a change in career direction or enhance your existing knowledge, you’re likely find others in a similar position on your course. This creates a community-like environment where no matter your age or background you’ll work closely to share ideas, inspiration and opportunities.

If you are considering a teaching career, at Brunel we offer the full route into formal education and many of students’ progress from our Education BA onto one of our highly regarded Postgraduate Certificate of Primary Education (PGCE) courses. Our Primary and Secondary PGCEs are ‘outstanding’ (Ofsted, 2015) and will give you the skills and qualifications to gain employment as teachers and progress into leadership and management roles in schools or in the wider world of education.
