Chepstow and Clifton halls

These are some of the original student halls of residence. These halls have been extensively redesigned and refurbished over the years. They now provide standard accommodation to students who share bathroom and kitchen facilities. They are named after some of the most famous bridges designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

Both halls feature Solar Thermal panels on their roofs. Unlike photovoltaic panels these do not generate electricity. Instead they help heat water for the buildings by exposing water to sunlight.
