Student Wellbeing

Student Wellbeing works with many students (over 1500 this year) including those with specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, mental health difficulties such as anxiety, and medical conditions such as epilepsy and arthritis. Many of these people never thought of themselves as disabled, but when they needed support they knew they could come and see us.

If you’ve applied to Brunel and told us you’re disabled, we’ll email and ask for a bit more information about yourself and the sort of support you may need.

Our service is confidential, information about you is only passed to other people in the university with your agreement to ensure you’re provided with the support you need.

Support for disabled students

At university there are two main types of support for disabled students, general support that the university offers and the individual support that comes with Disabled Students’ Allowances (DSA).
