Played In Brunel

music inspirational alumni imagebox (2)

Following last year's amazing event, we are once again hosting 'Played in Brunel' - an evening of music from Brunel Alumni at the iconic Half Moon Pub in Putney! At the event Dr Colin Riley, senior lecturer in Music will be announcing the start of the Brunel Music Mentor Scheme, set up by the Professional Development Centre at Brunel with the Music teaching staff.

Celebrate the sounds of Brunel by joining us in support of our amazing students and alumni at this event. We’ll be showcasing recent graduate artists and providing the opportunity to reunite with old friends, connect with fellow Music alumni and make professional contacts in the music industry and beyond. You’ll also be able to catch up with many of our Music tutors, both old and new, who will be attending.

The Half Moon in Putney has been hosting live music since the early 1960's and our Brunel musicians will take to the stage where some of the biggest names in popular music have performed! The Rolling Stones hired the venue for a private show in 2000, Kasabian literally blew the roof off in 2006 and an unknown Ed Sheeran supported a sold out show here! Kate Bush also had her first live show here, Elvis Costello enjoyed a residency that earned him a plate of sarnies and 50p per gig while Bo Diddley playing here en-route to Wembley in 1981.

Alumni playing at Played In Brunel:

  • Jaffro
  • Aimée Mackenzie and Ed Alston
  • Georgia Cooke and the Silver Pencils
  • Vlookup Trio
