Brunel University of London has climbed 19 places in the Complete University Guide 2027, rising to 48th in the UK and 7th in London — one of the biggest jumps in the sector.
The results cement Brunel's place in the UK top 50 and mark a significant step forward in the University's national standing.
Among London universities, Brunel stands out for having the highest spend per student on academic services. This includes investment in libraries, digital infrastructure and specialist staff, such as technicians, who directly support teaching and learning.
In the regional rankings, Brunel rises to 7th in London, up from 9th last year.
The Complete University Guide is one of the sector's most widely used rankings, drawing on ten independent measures including teaching quality, student satisfaction, student–staff ratio and graduate outcomes. It is used by students, parents and advisers — including those navigating Clearing.
Professor Andrew Jones, Vice-Chancellor and President, said:
"This 19-place rise reflects our collective commitment to high-quality, career-focused education and our focus on real-world outcomes — from student success to deep engagement with industry. We want our graduates equipped not just to study innovation, but to practise it."
