Brunel political scientists awarded editorship of flagship journal

PSR 920x540

A team of academics from Brunel’s Department of Social and Political Sciences have been awarded the editorship of the flagship journal, Political Studies Review.

From January 2019, Professor Justin Fisher will share editorship of the journal with colleagues Dr Katja Sarmiento-Mirwaldt, Dr Steve Pickering and Dr Martin Hansen, whilst Professor Jeff Karp and Dr Daniela Richterova will both be associate editors.

Political Studies Review (PSR), published by Sage and the Political Studies Association, offers rigorous high-quality peer reviewed original research across political science and related subjects. PSR publishes four types of contributions – original research articles, review articles, professional sections and commissioned book reviews.

Research from Brunel’s politics department is considered amongst the best in the UK, with 64% rated as World Leading or Internationally Excellent in REF2014.

Professor Justin Fisher, Head of the Department of Social and Political Sciences at Brunel, said: “I’m delighted that the team will have an opportunity next year to really make our mark on Political Studies Review.

“That we’ve been entrusted with the editorship of such a well-respected journal speaks volumes for the great reputation of Brunel’s politics department.”
