At Brunel, we’re keen to empower you to shape a degree that reflects your passions and ambitions. This year, we’ve launched four new joint honours degrees to enable you to take a deeper dive into your favourite subjects.
These all offer optional placement years to help you build your CV, develop your professional network and gain the experience that employers are looking for.
Sociology and Criminology BSc (Hons)
This course gives students curious about how the world works - and how it could work better - the tools needed to dig deeper. They’ll explore some of today’s most pressing issues, from crime and harm to identity, culture, inequality, housing and community change. They’ll learn to connect the big picture with the everyday and the personal with the political. Options available in Clearing include:
- 3 years full-time
- 4 years full-time with placement
English and History BA (Hons)
This course gives students the opportunity to explore literature and history side by side, learning how texts and events shape - and reshape - each other. Students can choose from:
- 3 years full-time (available in Clearing)
- 4 years full-time with placement (available in Clearing)
- 6 years part-time
Film and Media Production BA (Hons)
This course enables students to make films, tell stories and create work that connects with real audiences. They can also take the NCTJ journalism qualification at no extra cost.
- 3 years full-time (available in Clearing)
- 4 years full-time with placement (available in Clearing)
History and Human Geography BA (Hons)
Students will uncover the connections between people, places and the past, while learning how historians and geographers explain today’s biggest challenges from different angles. Students can choose from the following:
- 3 years full-time compressed with placement (available in Clearing)
