Brunel University London's Professional Development Centre has been voted the fifth best careers service among UK universities in a ranking released by review website Student Hut.

Reviews left by Brunel students gave the PDC an average of 4.29 out of 5 stars for its careers support.

The PDC helps students source placements and graduate jobs, as well as part-time work on campus through the Job Shop.

Students are encouraged to turn extra-curricular activities into employability skills through the Brunel+ Award, which recognises achievement away from the classroom. And the PDC supports student entrepreneurs through its Innovation Hub.

PDC Director Jonathan Bainbridge commented: "We take pride in working with Brunel students to improve their employability through developing the skills and experience needed to stand out in the job market.

"We get great feedback from students, but appearing so highly in Student Hut's ranking shows the outside world that we're getting a lot right. And we'll continue to strive to provide ever better support for the future."
