World University Rankings rise for Brunel in three subject areas

Brunel University London has been ranked highly for teaching and research in three subject areas released recently by Times Higher Education.

Brunel was ranked between 151st and 175th best in the world for the subject area of education, and between 201st and 250th globally for business and economics.

Rankings also rose for arts and humanities, with Brunel's teaching and research assessed as between 251st and 300th best worldwide.

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject take into account a range of performance indicators for Higher Education institutions worldwide, encompassing teaching, research, international outlook and industry income. These indicators are combined in a tailored way to give area-specific rankings for a range of subjects, from psychology and engineering to physical sciences, with rankings released over several months.

The undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for education, business and economics, and arts and humanities are all delivered by Brunel's College of Business, Arts and Social Sciences, with many of the academics undertaking research of national or international significance.
