Jobs Board

Brunel University of London is a campus-based university situated in Uxbridge, West London, and is home to over 12,000 students from over 100 countries worldwide across a variety of different courses which you can view here

The Student Professional Development Centre offers employers a free online jobs board for exclusive use by Brunel students.

Every week we select job ads from jobs board to promote via a student newsletter. This includes Graduate Roles, Part-Time Roles, Summer Placements and Volunteering opportunities.

(Please note only registered companies with public liability insurance will be promoted.)

BEFORE ADVERTISING PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU FAMILIARISE YOURSELF WITH OUR VACANCY POLICY HERE

Registering your organisation is very simple. If this is your first visit, you can register your organisation details here by selecting register from the dropdown options and following the on-screen instructions. If it is the first time you are posting with us, one of our team members will get in contact to schedule a call with you.

If you already have an account with us but have misplaced your log in details, please contact: employer.engagement@brunel.ac.uk

We review all submitted ads before we post them to ensure they are in line with our vacancy policy. To increase the number of applications, it is important that your job ad is detailed and clear for students to understand. Please read our Do’s and Don’ts Jobs Board Cheat Sheet before you post an ad. We will not approve ads with minimal information.

If we believe the ad requires more information, we will contact you via the email address used to register the account. If we do not hear back after 7 days, the ad will be removed.

Once you have posted a vacancy and if it meets the requirements set out on the vacancy policy, the team will approve the advert and make it available to the most relevant groups of students by year group and discipline.

The jobs board can be used to advertise the following types of opportunities:

Part-time Roles

A part-time contract is a form of employment that carries fewer hours per week than a full-time job. Workers are considered to be part-time if they commonly work fewer than 30 hours per week.

Please note that part-time jobs must comply with national minimum wage (NMW) which varies depending on the age of the student. To find out more about NMW please click here

Graduate Roles & Programmes (Full-Time)

Graduate schemes and graduate training programmes are offered by many large employers. They typically last a year, but some extend to 18 months or even two years. It's the defined time frame and structure that normally distinguishes a graduate scheme or programme from the wider class of 'graduate job', which is the catch all term for entry-level roles that require people with graduate level education.

Summer Internships

4 to 12 week opportunity which would usually run between June and September, once a students has completed his/her exams. Internships offer students a practical experience in the industry relating to their field of study.

Placements | Undergraduate & Postgraduate

A work placement is an opportunity for students to gain experience and develop new skills. It can also bring considerable benefits to businesses; offering a low-cost recruitment solution for up to 12 months, provide valuable professional development for staff and gain a fresh perspective from creative young people.

Here at Brunel University London, we have a wide range of courses in which placements are an integral part of the course. Brunel has a distinguished history as a pioneer in providing work experience within our degree programmes. We have strong, long-standing industry links and an excellent track record for placing students in various companies from large corporates to SMEs.

Placement duration and criteria vary on course and level.
