Two Brunel graduates have made history by launching their start-up product, Zeal, in prestigious Selfridges London, marking the first time a mobility aid has ever been stocked in the iconic department store.
Founded by graduates Georgia Williams (BA Industrial Design and Technology) and Josh King (BSc Product Design), Zeal is a testament to inclusive design and entrepreneurial spirit. The venture was nurtured within Brunel’s dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem, receiving early support from the Brunel Entrepreneur Hub through the Brunel Incubator Programme back in 2020-21 and later securing funding int he university’s annual Venture Competition in 2022.

With its cutting-edge, customised lifestyle walker rollator, Zeal Lifestyle is an exciting forward-thinking mobility brand that is shaking up the mobility aid industry and eliminating stigma. By fusing design, luxurious finishes, and contemporary aesthetics, Zeal raises the bar for mobility aids and gives users the confidence, ease and comfort they need to go about their everyday lives.
Zeal’s presence in Selfridges not only signals commercial success but also represents a shift in how mobility aids are viewed, not just as medical necessities, but as lifestyle-enhancing products with dignity and design at their core.
Josh shared “This is not just a retail listing, this is a category-defining moment. Our mission from the beginning has been to bring mobility aids to high street retail, so this is a huge milestone for us. Our customers regularly tell us they want to try our walkers before purchasing. Now they can, in the heart of Oxford Street.”
Customers can now try Zeal’s flagship walkers in-store on Oxford Street, addressing a long-standing barrier in the market - the inability to physically test such products before purchasing.
