Dr Doreen Lau

Membership and affiliation

Dr Lau holds international leadership roles to drive collaboration in immuno-oncology research, imaging science, and the advancement of women scientists and early-career professionals. She is a working group co-leader for the IMMUNO-model EU COST Action CA21135, focused on modeling immunotherapy response and toxicity in cancer. In addition, she serves on the Women in Molecular Imaging Network Leadership Committee for the World Molecular Imaging Society and was Chair (2021–2024) of the British young ESMI group within the European Society for Molecular Imaging. Dr Lau is also an active member of the British Society for Immunology, where she has chaired sessions at the annual congress and contributed as a guest editor for the society's journal. She is a member of the Association for Cancer Immunotherapy (CIMT), engaging with the international community to advance research and collaboration in cancer immunotherapy. In recognition of her expertise, Dr Lau was appointed as a Co-opted Member of the Wellcome Trust Immune System in Health & Disease Discovery Research Advisory Group and as an Associate Member of the MRC Molecular and Cellular Medicine Board.
