Summary
I am an independent pathologist with dual specialist registration in histopathology and paediatric pathology, currently undertaking autopsies for coroners in the London area. I have performed more than 8,500 autopsies and given evidence at over 180 inquests.
As a historian of popular culture, I have published on topics ranging from Elizabethan ballads to Victorian anatomy shows, with an interest in how medical and scientific knowledge circulates beyond elite institutions, particularly in relation to historical animal welfare movements and the evolution of medical ethics.
