Research area(s)

My research area is the future of international education with a focus on lessening the Anglo/American bias to increase the authenticity and effectiveness of the education framework for global citizenship and international mindedness.

Research Interests

I am interested in the historical context of international education, the socio-political aspect as to who international education serves and why. The link/dependence between the global power of global industry and international education and the concept of reproducing a global elite to ensure the continuation of the status quo.

I am also interested in the role of language within international education and the role language plays to identity on a micro and macro level.
