Summary

As the Technical Manager, Amelia is responsible for the technical operations within the College's Division of Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences and provides a complete technical support service. This includes supporting or leading the teaching of technical / practical skills from Level 4 to Level 7; supporting research; and conducting consultancy activities. 

Amelia is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a professional member of the Institute of Science and Technology; holds Charted Scientist status and is an accredited Sport and Exercise Scientist for Physiology, Support and Performance by The British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences.

Amelia is actively involved in Brunel's wider initatives such as the Technicians Commitment Council and also facilities the Women's Equality Network Group. 

Responsibility

  • Responsible for the technical operations within the College's Division of Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences.
  • Health, safety and environment issues within the Division of Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences.
  • Person Designated (PD) for Human Tissue within Life Sciences (College of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences).
