Summary

Amina graduated in 2023 from the University of Reading with a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science. Throughout her studies, she demonstrated a keen interest in the field of Cardiovascular and Immunology. Currently, Amina’s research is within the field of neurovascular science and immunology, specifically looking at the utilisation of zebrafish larvae as a preclinical model for ischaemic stroke research. Amina is hoping that her research will lead to the successful use of the non-mammalian model during Ischaemic stroke drug development with a key aim of prevention and treatment against long-term negative impacts of the disease including disabilities caused by necrosis.
